The Prillaman Family

Volunteer  your time and talents.

Many members of the Prillaman family have a variety of talents in business, education, and the arts. With the efforts of our volunteers who give of their time and expertise, our reunions, publications, and family activities have been very successful. New volunteers are always needed. Please contact us and let us know how you can help. 
Reunion Volunteers and Committees
  • Welcoming Volunteers - welcome attendees to the reunion, coordinate guest registration at events, supply name tags, and assist with recommendations for local accommodations for out of town guests before their arrival.
  • Food Committee -manage food service at the reunion including food area, dessert area, beverage area, and cups, plates, napkins, flatware, and serving utensils.
  • Setup/Cleanup Committee - responsible for setting up chairs, tables, sound system, and other items for the reunion.  They are also responsible for cleaning up after the reunion.
  • Activities/Entertainment - plans and coordinates activities such as musical entertainment, arts and crafts displays, vendor booths, and recreational games. Responsible for awarding prizes and/or certificates for various winners including annual awards for oldest/youngest reunion attendees and farthest travelled.
  • Reunion Photography - documents annual reunion with photographs and/or video. Includes responsibility for documenting subjects in the photos and providing copies to interested parties.  Distributes photos to web-authors and family historians for archiving and publication.
Family Heritage Volunteers
  • Cemetery & Historical Site Preservation  - identify, document, and coordinate efforts to preserve family cemeteries, tombstones, and historical sites.
  • Descendants Volunteers -  collect family group sheets and maintain a digital database of Prillaman descendants. Responsible for updating, publishing and copyrighting each new edition of  "The Prillaman Family: an account of the descendants of Jacob Prillaman." Works closely with representatives from each of the five family lines to cross-match any descendants who descend from more than one line. 
  • Family History Volunteers - coordinate efforts to collect copies of historical documents, family stories and letters, marriage bonds, birth records, death records, biographies, county records such as wills and deeds, old photographs, and for publishing the collection in Prillaman family heritage books. 
  • Communications/Publications  - maintains a Prillaman family address book database. Provides notification of annual reunion. Assists other volunteers in the marketing and distribution of family publications.
Financial Officers and Volunteers
  • Finance Officers - manage and document all income, receipts and disbursements. Responsible for bookkeeping and budget. 
  • Fundraising Committee - responsible for planning, executing and coordinating any fundraising activities such as raffles, reunion T-shirts, cookbooks, auctions, etc.
