I beg to differ. After researching the origins of our family surname, Prillaman, the answer is Brüllmann. So I beg to differ with ancestry and other sources which state the origin of the surname as Brillerman. I decided to look for the source of the information and found it was "The Dictionary of American Family Names" published by Oxford University Press. I wrote to Patrick Hanks, chief editor and lexicographer of the publication regarding my research on the origins of our surname. And his reply:
